Hi! Yes Bothe White and amber leds can both be active or work the same time when activated. Or you can do one light at a time. As for the White led It is bright in my opinion. thats the 5500k but just to let you know that you might need two or three of these if your shooting in a real dark places. I hope that helps...

This light is very bright, but at a short distance. It is good for small spaces, but could benefit from a light box when used up close. I really like using it and the battery life is impressive(so long as you remove the batteries when not in use) there is a ghost drain, but not really an issue. They do tell you to remove the batteries when not using them, in their defense. I'll buy another when I get home!

Nice bright panel light. Thin and light (not heavy) panel. I only wish I didn't have to guess the temp. There is a 5500K adjustment to control the white leds, and a 3300K adjustment to control the yellow leds. You basically have to guess what temp you are using if you have them both on. If you were able to choose the exact temp that would be a huge upgrade.

I bought it to serve as lighting in the short films and webseries of my collective La Botte du Géant. I find myself not only to use it to turn, but also to light my room. The interface is simple to understand, the gear is good (a year for now), even if you do not force on plastic parts, it goes without saying. There are problems, but you have to read the description before buying. Basically there's no food, you have to buy it separately. Same for the batteries.

Nice little bright light. Works well for tight closeup shots. The stand and handle are nice, both can be attached onto a tripod. The only down side to the light, it does not come with a power source. So to me it's really not worth the 40 bucks. It cost me an extra 15 bucks for the power source and the batteries for it are even higher. This light should not cost more than 25 dollars with a power source.
